I had not vaccinated dogs since 1978, following an epiphany which is too long to go into, but l did wake up. From that time on, I avoided rescuing dogs out of the impounds because they're shot full of every vaccine before they can leave. Sad, but true. Some kind of underhanded financial deal with Big Pharma, no doubt. I had packs of dogs, though, rescued from around town, different situations.

But in 2013 I responded to an urgent plea to rescue an American bulldog mix at one of the impounds (I don't call them "shelters," because I know better). The young lady who found him could not keep him (Landlord lived on the property) so she had to put him in the pound. She named him Mr. MarshMellow, and began begging for someone to take him out, as he was going to be destroyed the morning after I received the alert.

Mr. MarshMellow was emaciated and covered in cigarette burns, but that didn't stop the impound vet from injecting him with every poison vaccine made for dogs. And after I contacted them about taking him out, they added insult to injury by subjecting this immunocompromised (and now poisoned) dog to neutering surgery.

The bottom line is that although he gained weight after I gave him real food, healthy vitamins and purified water, he started with the first of three autoimmune issues. The most devastating to begin with was dermal hemangiosarcoma (blood borne cancerous tumors growing on the skin), and although I tried to control the tumors through holistic means, the time came for tumors having to be removed. This brought on IBD, and that was the coup de grace. He began losing weight again, and stood in front of his bowl crying, because he was hungry but it hurt too much to eat.

I spent a lot of time, research, money, and tears, trying to find a holistic practitioner who could help him. But after months of trying different things, and him continuing to deteriorate and suffer, I made the decision to end his misery. In the few short years that I had him, I came to love this sweet soul so very much.

Damned be the poison pushers, and all their minions.

ALL vaccines are poison. The absolute worst is the rabies Vax. Most contain mercury among other toxins. I've owned several dogs in my life but two of them had horrific reactions to the rabies Vax. One developed AIHA (autoimmune hemolytic anemia). This cost me over $12,000.in vet bills just to keep my dog alive. The second developed autoimmune hypothyroid disease leading to a terrible excema and later on cancer which killed him. He was perfectly healthy before his damn rabies shot! STAY AWAY FROM VACCINES. THEY ARE ALL POISON.

Have never vaxed our animals. 2 dogs and 2 cats. We don’t even do ticks, worms or fleas. The only needle they get is the green dream when of course it’s time to go. All have perfectly lived fabulous lives (2 cats r still with us). Never seen a flea on any animal. They r most definitely outdoor cats to hunt mice/rats.

Dr Karen Becker has a Substack. She’s affiliated with Mercola. Lots of good pet advice and she’s not pro-vaccine

My cat Liberty crashed right after a rabies shot. There was no reason she needed one - she’s a shy housecat who wouldn’t go outdoors if every door and window was left open. The vet said it was necessary and I complied. Never again!

She made it but it was rough going and the supportive care she needed that day was expensive. They didn’t charge me for the shot itself, though. I suppose they do that do you don’t sue.

Most of us pet owners have done things we regret because we didn’t have the best info at the time. All you can do is learn from the disasters. This is a heartbreaking story.

This story brings up all kinds of emotions. I met a vet at an essential oil conference 20yrs ago that warned about the dangers of pet vaccines. Of course no one took me seriously. I've known about vaccine injuries before my grand daugher was born. Again no one took me seriously. She was blue when she arrived at the ER from seizures after the MMR shot. Luckily she survived and luckily she never had anymore vaccines after that. I had a parrot for 18yrs until it died in May 2021. I find it very odd that 4 other bird clubs members had birds that died Jan-May and there have been more. I'm thinking it was shedding from the vaccine which everyone had taken. All these birds died from heart issues. I never took the jab but my husband did and the bird died shortly after. I am grateful that so many more people are speaking out.

30 years ago while I was walking to work this crazy cat kept tripping me and I ended up taking him to work with me. There was an animal shelter across the street from where I worked so I took him there and told him why I had him and they said they would call other shelters and see if he had been reported missing. They asked if I wanted him if he was still there when I got off work. I said yes. I didn't want to leave him there. So after work I went to pick him up. No one reported him as missing. I put him in my work bag and we went home. He was the most loveable cat I've ever had. I thought he was about 5 or 6 months old. He had very long legs. About 3 months later I had to take him to be snipped because he would try to get to cats in the front yard and would nearly tear down the window blinds. And the yowling was keeping me from getting enough sleep. I found out that he was only 3 months old at the time I brought him home and that he was a Bengal/Bobcat mix. That explains his size and long legs. He got his shots. Had a reaction. He developed a large cyst at the spot where he got the shots. He slept a lot for a few days and then he was fine. I didn't get him any shots again for a few years. Then he got a rabies shot and the same thing happened. No more shots after that. His name was Cato. He liked to climb up on something where he could jump on people and scare the shit out of them. He loved that and he would grin every time he did it. He lived for a little past 20 years and never had any more health problems. He died at home and his grave is in the back yard. I have a Pit Bull now and no shots for her. Someone dumped her outside of where I was working and I brought her home. I've had her for almost 4 years. She was a puppy when I brought her home. her name is Shadow because she is my shadow and has had her toes stepped on many times. She is healthy and happy and I intend for her to stay that way.

My Border Collie almost died after his puppy shots at 8 weeks old. He had one more vaccine, the rabies, at 6 months. Then I figured out what almost killed him so no more shots. He lived to 15 years old, but had chronic skin and ear infections due to the damage done to his immune system by those first shots.

About 7 or 8 years ago my dog got his last 'booster'. He's a tough old boot my dog, part staffie, part something bigger and never complains, could whack him over the head with a piece of wood & he would just stare at you. Anyhow, the 'booster' had changed to two separate injections, he was ill for days.. never had another shot , doing great at 15 now.

Incidentally, he did suffer from the occasional seizure, maybe once or twice a year, not had one of those for years either.

My cat died last year at almost 19 years old. She was the love of my life.

Initially, I let the vet give her vaccines - because I was in my early 20s and didn't know any better!! :-(

Perhaps it was a blessing that I became a poor student a year or two after I got her, because I couldn't afford the vet bills! When the vet suggested I give her a particular jab so she can go in the runs in the catteries, but that they do the jab in the hind leg because about 1/10 cats lose the limb, I did the math and thought that was a TERRIBLE rate of leg-losing and no way was my cat having that jab thankyou very much! So, she stopped having jabs after that. And she was fine! She hated every other cat (but loved me!) so it wasn't like she was socialising (no, only when she had cat fights ha ha). And precisely because of this lack of socialising, I realised she didn't need flea treatments, either. PLUS I had noticed how tired she was after I used the flea treatment drops on her back (Revolution?). She just needed to go and sleep for a day or two. She was so slow. I thought 'That can't be good', so I stopped that, too. And she never had fleas after that. It was like: don't poison her and she won't get fleas, but poison her with chemicals that are meant to get rid of fleas...and she'll get fleas!! It's so dumb what chemicals people have injected into, or put on, themselves AND their pets!!

My cat was healthy, strong and vibrant. She got to a ripe old age because she had a good lifestyle, lots of love and no poisons in her diet - although I stupidly only got rid of grains in her diet when she was about 10 years old. I should've done it YEARS earlier. What carnivore eats grains?! She was on the vet-recommended 'Science Diet' Hairball formula and yet she kept hacking and chucking up...and when we moved to 'Wellness Core' grain-free dry food (plus she had real meat every day eg beef, kangaroo, rabbit etc) then amazingly, she stopped chucking up! Fancy that.

Honestly, we should just stop listening to vets or medical doctors UNLESS they have NON-mainstream views!

Not JUST vaccines, too! The jab that Zoetis (Pfizer’s animal pharmaceutical arm) produces for heartworm prevention is what killed our dog, Carmen. She was 8 years old and it caused clots to form and one stopped her heart. We were devastated! Never again!!

I agree with you but it makes no sense for an animal who doesn’t come in contact with any outside animals to have to take shots. She doesn’t even want anything to do with her animal housemates!

There is such a thing as Natural vaccines, which are essentially pharma vaccines without the additives which is what makes vaccines so dangerous. The additives like aluminum and mercury are put into the pharma vaccines to ignite a reaction and create antibodies, which doesn't really happen enough to make any difference.

Read about Homeopathic Immunizations, called Homeoprophylaxis at the link below. They work better while pharma vaccines don't because they are swallowed, not injected. Homeopathic medicine doesn't work for me, but I know many people they do work for. https://www.organiclifestylemagazine.com/all-natural-homeopathic-immunizations-homeoprophylaxis-is-a-proven-alternative-to-vaccines.

There was a Leptospirosis outbreak in Cuba a decade or two ago, and pharma vaccines failed to stop it. It was the Homepathic vaccine that the Cuban medical establishment finally tried that ended the dog pandemic. I don't know how many other natural vaccines work for pets, so consult either a holistic vet or a doctor of Homeopathy.

Here is a link that explains how holistic vets handle vaccines. There are two types, Core and Non-Core vaccines. Read about the difference and why mainline vets give pets too many vaccines too often. https://www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/which-dog-vaccines-are-necessary/

Are homeopathic Nosodes for rabies accepted (legally) in place of rabies vaccine? If so, that may be a way out of vaccinating for rabies. I don’t live in the USA, so I don’t know the regulations there.
